On March 10, 2024, Peace and Freedom Organization held a session in Baquba - Diyala to present the results and recommendations of the dialogue sessions, which were about the challenges that limit the return of the IDPs and the most important initiatives that contribute to enhancing community integration.

This was in the presence of a number of representatives and influencers from the areas of Jalawla, Sa'diyah and Buhriz.

In the session had been discussed the challenges including agricultural problems and drought in rural areas, delays in disbursing compensation amounts, the issue of identification papers, and the lack of job opportunities and services in areas affected by the conflict.

The importance of the role of the local government in rehabilitating and providing basic services in post-conflict areas and supporting safe return was also discussed.

It was also discussed in conclusion about how to implement part of the recommendations in the form of initiatives that promote community peace and integration.

This activity was implemented within Building Peace and Stability in Iraq in partnership with the International Rescue Committee and with the support of FCDO.
