At the beginning of this April 2024, in an inspiring initiative carrying a noble message of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, Peace and Freedom Organization, in collaboration with the JISRA Youth Group, organized an exceptional journey under the title "Coexistence Journey".
In this journey, a group of young men and women from the district of Shekhan set out to explore and enhance their mutual understanding, as well as promote the spirit of tolerance and coexistence among different religions and beliefs in the region.
The journey included exciting and informative field visits to a number of distinctive religious sites in the area, where the youth engaged in constructive dialogues and listened to comprehensive explanations about the customs and traditions of the different components. Among the walls of mosques, the corridors of temples, and the churches of various denominations, the youth formed a real bridge of understanding and mutual respect.
What caught attention during this journey was the religious and cultural depth expressed by the participating young men and women, as they exchanged knowledge and understanding positively and with mutual respect, giving this initiative a human and cultural dimension that enhances the values of coexistence and tolerance.
The participants in the journey praised the role of the organization and its effective contribution in organizing events that encourage building bridges of communication and understanding among the diverse youth in the region.
They expressed their hope for the repetition of such important initiatives that contribute to enhancing social peace and building an interactive and interconnected community based on the values of respect and mutual understanding.
It is important to note that this activity was organized by JISRA Youth Group in collaboration with Peace and Freedom Organization (PFO), with support from the Search for Common Ground organization (SFCG) under the participatory grant-making in JISRA (PGM in JISRA).
