Over the weekend, Saturday 20 of April, the vibrant energy of unity and harmony filled the air as the JISRA youth group orchestrated a remarkable event titled the "Peace Festival." This heartwarming gathering brought together a diverse individual, including esteemed religious leaders, intellectuals, and enthusiastic youth from various communities.

The festival served as a beacon of hope and a testament to the power of dialogue and understanding in fostering peaceful coexistence. Notable figures gracing the occasion included the esteemed head of the Lalsh Foundation and the leader of the Sheikhan Enlightenment Center. Additionally, religious representatives from the Muslim Scholars Union Sheikhan Branch lent their voices to the chorus of unity, underscoring the importance of mutual respect and harmony among all faiths.
 
Central to the festival's essence were the stirring speeches and captivating paintings that eloquently conveyed the message of coexistence and shared humanity. Adding flavor to the festivities, the event also featured a delightful showcase of Kurdish cuisine.
 
Furthermore, the exhibition of traditional Yezidi and Muslim costumes from the Shikhan region added a colorful dimension to the celebration, highlighting the cultural richness and diversity inherent within the community.

It is important to note that this activity was organized by JISRA Youth Group in collaboration with Peace and Freedom Organization (PFO), with support from the Search for Common Ground organization (SFCG) under the participatory grant-making in JISRA (PGM in JISRA).
