
The meeting addressed a range of issues and topics, most notably the challenges and developments that Iraq has experienced recently, with a particular focus on Kirkuk Governorate. Discussions centered on analyzing environmental and community-related issues that directly affect local residents.
Participants also discussed mechanisms for addressing these challenges and mitigating their impacts by proposing practical recommendations and developing ideas for community-based initiatives that could contribute to addressing these issues and strengthening the role of the local community in finding sustainable solutions that respond to the needs of the area. The meeting also emphasized identifying partnership and cooperation priorities in line with the objectives and vision of the Roots of Peace Team.
This activity was conducted within the framework of the “Building Peace and Stability in Iraq” project, implemented by the Peace and Freedom Organization in partnership with the Italian organization Un Ponte Per (UPP), with funding from FCDO.
